Syleham Historical Society was founded in 2024 to mark the 850 year anniversary of the surrender of Earl Bigod to King Henry II at The Cross at Syleham. The society arranged a re-enactment of this event in July and arranges ad hoc historical talks and events.

Syleham Heritage Walk
The Syleham Heritage Walk celebrates the historic buildings within the village and forms part of the 850-year celebration of Earl Bigod’s surrender to King Henry II at Syleham in 1174. The walk takes around an hour and half to walk the five mile route.
